Great job, Lucy!! Even in the midst of distracting bake sale-ing you still progressed in your knitting. :)

While we waited for more customers, we read our story and knitted. :) Just like any circle day, only with tempting baked goods in the center of the circle.
Customers had an interactive experience as they chose their items the kids added their prices. Everyone had so much fun selling and buying treats. What a lovely morning.
American Craft Council employee, Lauren, got a bunch of goodies at the bake sale. What a yummy way to start the morning!
Here we go! This is our first, large fundraising campaign. We are participating in Give to the Max Day. Donations are now being received and will all apply for the Give to the Max Day benefits. So many people have told us to let them know when we are fundraising... we are fundraising!! Please take time to give today. LitKnit want to grow! We have had requests for circles to be opened in more neighborhoods and funding would make that happen. Be a part of an organization that stabilizes individuals and families right where they live: in their neighborhoods. Thank you!
Here is Ginny who has been the Neighborhood Coordinator of our Monroe Street Circle for a little over 3 years! Ginny is the one who had some kids hanging out at her house after school, on a consistent basis, and she asked Jaime if Jaime thought there might be something they could do together... and LitKnit was born. Ginny and Jaime began with those kids and the first LitKnit circle took shape AND there are still original members active in it today!! THEN a little bit of time passed and Ginny introduced Jaime to her friend KATRINA (who we just did a shout out to) and Katrina began being a LitKnit Neighborhood Coordinator AND is now a LitKnit Facilitator. Ginny connects people and sticks with it. Ginny continues to be the Neighborhood Coordinator for the circle that meets in her house AND Ginny is currently serving on LitKnit's board. Thank you, thank you, thank you, Ginny for your consistent, faithful, honest support and giving of your time and resources to the people of LitKnit. If you are reading this post, leave a comment and show Ginny some love!
I'm not sure if you can see it, but that is the American Craft Council's logo on LitKnit's CraftUp poster! LitKnit and the ACC are working together to bring CraftUps to the Twin Cities because both organizations are passionate about people have access to craft. It was SO fun for me (Jaime) to see our ACC friends and LitKnit friends meeting and hanging out together at the CraftUp. Here is to future CraftUp connecting!
The Craft Council LitKnit circle did some brainstorming last week! They are up to something... wait for it, wait for it..
