We started our new book at the American Craft Council circle last week: The Treasure Seekers by Edith Nesbit

Jaime Gjerdingen

This book is one of my favorites. It is so funny: the Bastable children are determined to 'restore the fortunes' of their family by hunting for treasure. Thus ensues many adventures. If you ever want a treat to read, pick up The Treasure Seekers by Edith Nesbit.

What a silly week!

Jaime Gjerdingen

It looks like Jaime is scaring Lucy, but actually, she is telling a funny story about someone who used to put their hands straight up in the air when they were uncomfortable about the 'craziness' in the room and Lucy was right there, putting her hands up in the air.  Two seconds after this picture was taken every single kid had their hands straight up in the air, laughing at the story. LitKnit silliness!

Roxie, Piper and Katrina read to us last week...

Jaime Gjerdingen

Our little Craft Council Circle has started a new trend of having different learners read the story to us. We are trying it out and seeing how it goes. Sometimes people can loose the 'continuity' of the story with different readers... yet... something special happens that older and younger members feel comfortable reading Victorian English to their circle. We'll have to see what happens!
